Luz Gonzalez has dedicated her career as a mental health professional and community health advocate to improving equity and opportunities for underserved communities in Orange County. Luz began her Social Work career at Child Guidance Center as an intern over 25 years ago.

She is currently serving the needs of students within the Santa Ana Unified School District as a Clinical Social Worker. Luz attended CSULB where she earned both a Bachelors and a Masters in Social Work with a concentration in Children and Families. She has served the Santa Ana community as a Therapist, Medical Outreach Manager, Nephrology Social Worker, School Social Worker, and Director and District Program Coordinator. Luz also studied at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, in Mexico, where she was able to reconnect with her country of origin.
